How Many Trim Levels Does the Ford Explorer Have?

Explorer, XLT, Limited, ST, and Platinum are the five trim levels available and a unique Hybrid Limited powertrain option. Each trim level comes included with all of the technology you’ll need to make family vacations a breeze and features to make all of your road trips more enjoyable. You can rely on the characteristics of this vehicle whether you require performance and towing power or comprehensive safety.

The 2021 Ford Explorer has the following trim levels available-   

Explorer (base trim)

The base trim level is the Ford Explorer. This car comes equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost® I-4 engine that produces 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. This vehicle’s powertrain has a maximum towing capacity of 5,300 pounds when fully equipped.  

XLT trim

The XLT trim, on the other hand, comes with a host of cutting-edge innovations. The SecuriCode™ invisible keypad- that people can use for keyless entry adds a new layer of security. The Terrain Management System™, a seven-drive mode controller, is available for off-road activities.  

Explorer Limited

This trim level includes Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+, which adds Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers, Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation System, and Evasive Steering Assist to the previous trim level increased situational awareness while parking.  

ST Trim

The Ford Explorer ST trim is the way to go if you’re a serious performance enthusiast. This is because this trim includes a standard 3.0L EcoBoost® V6 engine. This engine has 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque, making it capable of towing up to 5,600 pounds. That’s a significant amount of muscle.  

Platinum

This interior trim’s silky texture and luxurious design are a treat for the eyes and the back. A genuine Ash Swirl wood-trimmed instrument panel accompanies the high-end style of the Platinum trim. When stalled on the highway, the twin-panel moonroof allows some light in.
